The Legend of Little Wolf

Little Wolf has been sent to the mountain home of Megissogwan, the giant who has terrified his nation for many years. Little Wolf must free his people but he doesn't know how-he's neither a hunter nor a warrior!

Little Wolf's friend, Woodpecker, will help him by recounting legends of the past: "Bear and the Striped One", an Iroquois pourquoi tale, "The Firestick", a Native American tale from the Pacific Northwest, and "The Dancing Drum", a Cherokee legend. By these examples Little Wolf discovers his own strengths and gifts and, with help from friends in the audience, he uses them to defeat the giant and free his people
